This should be a good year to view the Geminids after the moon sets around midnight. The best time will be after midnight, and look to the eastern sky. The peak is actually forecast to be around 9 pm PST on the 13th, but the moon will still be up.

The sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn at 3:38 p.m. PST. It then begins its journey north.
The North Trinity Lake Improvement Association (NTLIA) Board meets once a month at the IOOF Hall.
The beginning of the eclipse (the penumbral eclipse) starts around 9:30 p.m. PST. Total eclipse beings around 11:40 p.m., with the greatest eclipse at 12:17 a.m. on the 22nd. Since it is occurring almost exactly at midnight, the moon will be almost exactly overhead. The eclipse event is over at 3:04 a.m.
