If you want to post a reply or start a new discussion topic, you first must register with the Roundtable. If you want to get started right away, just click on Register on the menu line above. You will be asked for a username and password. On the Roundtable, we have a convention for usernames -- first initial/last name OR first name/last initial. For example, John Doe would be "jdoe" or "johnd". If we have two John Does, we will use middle initials or some other way to tell you apart! Please follow this convention.
Passwords should be a mix of letters and numbers. You may use "mixed case" (that is, upper and lower case) but when you subsequently login, you must match the case you specified when you registered.
You will also find an FAQ (frequently asked questions) page linked from the menu bar. Some of your questions may already be answered there.
Now, if you click on Home up on the menu bar near the top of this page you will be taken to the front page of the Roundtable. From there, you can click on any forum or topic to read it. You can always click on Home to get to the front page. You might try going to the Home page, clicking on the first forum you see (the forum is called Community Roundtable Basic Information, Rules and Etiquette) and then read the topic How to Get Started with the Roundtable. That topic contains useful tips on how to get started.
So browse the Roundtable, register and start posting! Once you've registered, you can post replies to existing topics, or you can start your own topics. We even have a forum called the Sandbox where you can practice posting topics and replies. Anything you post in the Sandbox will be automatically deleted after 24 hours -- it's just a place to play.
If you think we should add a new forum or rearrange the existing ones, just send a note to the adminstrator and we can set one up! Or, post your comments in the Feedback forum and see what others think!
